A petite mess of style and substance. A Melbourne writer. A controversial bitch daring you to see our world differently.

What I know of Heaven

heaven is a heart poem

Heaven is not a place

Of paradise

Like we are told

Heaven is a heart.

For when you pass

You live in the chambers

Of those you loved

Your soul becomes their beats

Their breath becomes yours

You are immortal—

But you are no longer alive.

Your spirit seeps

From their eyes

They are crying for you—

But you are their tears.

You float through their body

Like a ghost

Haunting their mind

With memories.

Your existence in their arteries

Causes ache;

You are too big for this small space.

Heaven is not a place

Of paradise

Like we are told

Heaven is my heart

And I swear to you my darling,

You live here

And you are

tearing me apart.

What an amazingly beautiful poem and image combination you created. I am also saddened for your loss & hope you find peace.
